Who we are

Maid n' Dallas ("Maid n' Dallas," "we," "us," or "our") is a residential and commercial cleaning company operating in and around Dallas, Texas. We are a small, locally owned business. This Privacy Policy applies to your use of our website, booking flow, and customer portal (the "Site") and the cleaning services we provide (the "Services"). Our contact for privacy matters is Wendy at wendy@maidndallas.com, (214) 235-5106, or by mail at Maid n' Dallas, 2531 Lazydale Dr, Dallas, TX 75228.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly and information generated by your use of our Services.

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and service address.
  • Booking details: home size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, selected service type, add-ons, cleaning frequency, appointment notes, pet information, entry and alarm instructions, and assigned staff.
  • Payment and billing information processed through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers; Stripe stores a secure token used to charge your card.
  • Communications: messages, support requests, and feedback sent through the website, email, SMS, or the customer account portal.
  • Service documentation: photos, before-and-after notes, and quality records created to document or complete a cleaning, when applicable.
  • Account credentials: email address and an encrypted password for the customer portal.
  • Technical and usage data: device type, browser type, operating system, IP address, pages visited, session duration, and error logs used to operate and secure the website, including data set by strictly necessary and analytics technologies described below.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health diagnoses, sexuality, genetic or biometric identifiers, precise geolocation, or citizenship or immigration status. We do not sell personal data, and we will not sell any sensitive personal data under any circumstances. If you believe we have received sensitive information inadvertently, contact us to request deletion.

How we use information

  • Schedule, price, staff, dispatch, and complete cleaning appointments.
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, arrival notifications, service completion notices, receipts, and customer support replies.
  • Authorize and process payments, refunds, account credits, gift card redemptions, and invoices.
  • Maintain service records, resolve disputes, respond to refund or damage claims, and support repeat-booking history.
  • Improve service quality, routing efficiency, pricing accuracy, staffing decisions, and customer support responsiveness.
  • Secure the website, detect and prevent fraud, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain legally required business records.
  • Contact you about your account, appointments, or changes to our services or policies, and, where permitted, about promotions you can opt out of.

We do not use customer information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, for targeted advertising on third-party platforms, or for any purpose unrelated to operating our cleaning business.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and customer portal, such as keeping you signed in and securing your session. We also use privacy-friendly, aggregate website analytics to understand site performance and usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not allow third parties to track you across other websites for advertising through our Site.

Because we do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control have no targeted-advertising activity to disable. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working.

How we share information

We share your information only with third-party service providers (processors) that help us operate the business. These include our payment processor (Stripe), our database, authentication, and file storage provider (Supabase), our email delivery service (Resend), our SMS delivery provider (Twilio), maps and address tools, website hosting (Vercel), error monitoring (Sentry), website analytics, and accounting tools.

Each processor receives only the information necessary for its function and is contractually required to protect that information. We do not sell your personal data, we do not process it for targeted advertising on third-party platforms, and we do not rent or trade your personal information. Your mobile opt-in consent and SMS data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or lawful government request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of our customers, employees, or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy.

Email communications

We send you transactional emails about your bookings, receipts, account activity, and support, and we may send marketing emails about promotions and services. We handle commercial email consistent with the federal CAN-SPAM Act: every marketing email identifies us, includes our physical mailing address, and offers a clear way to unsubscribe, and we honor opt-out requests promptly. Opting out of marketing email does not stop transactional emails you need to manage your account and appointments.

SMS and transactional messages

If you provide a mobile number and opt in, you may receive text messages about bookings, reminders, arrival updates, support, and account activity. Consent to receive text messages is never required to purchase Services. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages and HELP for assistance. Full details, including how your mobile information is handled, are in our SMS Terms.

Photos and service notes

Photos and home notes collected during a cleaning are used for quality control, staff handoff, documentation, and customer support. They are private to your account, assigned cleaning staff, and authorized admin users, and they are not used for marketing without your separate written approval.

Your privacy choices

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), effective July 1, 2024, gives Texas residents rights over their personal data, but it applies only to businesses that are not small businesses under the federal Small Business Administration (SBA) size standards. Maid n' Dallas qualifies as a small business under those standards and is therefore exempt from the substantive obligations of the TDPSA, except for the Act's prohibition on selling sensitive personal data without consent, which we observe. We do not sell personal data of any kind.

Even though we are exempt, we honor the following requests in good faith for all of our customers:

  • Access: ask us to confirm whether we hold personal data about you and to provide a copy of it.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccuracies in the personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete personal data we hold about you, subject to legal, tax, security, and service-record retention requirements.
  • Portability: ask for a copy of your personal data in a portable, readable format where technically feasible.
  • Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing email, or reply STOP to opt out of text messages, at any time.

To exercise a choice, contact us at the email or phone number below. We will respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable time, generally within 45 days, and we will not retaliate against you for making a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may decline a request where an exception applies, in which case we will explain why. If you reside in a state with its own consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights to the extent that law applies to our business; contact us and we will respond in good faith.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect customer information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, role-based access to booking records, and reputable third-party providers that maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide Services, maintain accurate business and tax records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect against fraud. Service and billing records are generally kept for the period required by tax and limitations law; account information is kept until you ask us to delete it or your account is closed, subject to those retention needs. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

If a breach of security compromises your sensitive personal information, we will notify you and any required authorities consistent with the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act (Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 521) and other applicable law.

Children

Our Site and Services are directed to adults and are not directed to children. Consistent with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child's information has been submitted to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services change or as required by applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
